MPJC was founded in February 2008, encompassing a group of young professionals interested in helping to introduce, educate, and raise awareness about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Mitchell's Place to other young professionals in the area through various fundraising events. The number of children diagnosed with ASD has increased dramatically with 1 in 110 children being diagnosed each year. It is the goal of MPJC to help provide support, assistance, and increased awareness about ASD to the Birmingham, AL community by helping raise funds to support Mitchell's Place and their ongoing quest to enable the individual with autism to reach his or her fullest potential.
